2022

Project Overview

In June 2022, PT Elbema Integra Indonesia conducted a Vacuum Leak Test on the tube bundle condenser at the PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina (ICA) facility in Tayan, West Kalimantan. This test was performed to assess the mechanical integrity of the condensation system by identifying potential leakage within the condenser tubes, which could lead to vacuum loss, reduced thermal efficiency, and operational instability of the processing unit. The procedure involved creating a negative pressure (vacuum) on either the shell side or tube side (depending on the condenser design), followed by monitoring with high-precision leak detection instruments.

All testing phases were carried out in full compliance with industry standards and strict HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols—from system isolation and vacuum stabilization to data interpretation and technical reporting. The results confirmed that the condenser was in generally acceptable operational condition, with several minor leakage points identified for corrective action. This project reflects PT Elbema Integra Indonesia’s commitment to delivering accurate technical inspection services and supporting operational reliability in the chemical processing industry.
